Capitalize on authentic portfolio assessment in your Two-Way Immersion program without the paper hassle. Using non-linear PowerPoint presentation, and online ePortfolios, students produce electronic portfolios that include description, analysis, and reflection on all standards represented while integrating 21st Century technology skills. Participants will see sample student portfolios and how the contents document the achievement of all students.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Implement and integrate an expanded use of technology to support student self-evaluation and growth in the areas of literacy/biliteracy, and other content areas through the collection of data
  • Use the process of description, analysis, and reflection for all standards represented while integrating 21st Century technology skills.
  • Identify how evaluation and assessment can be student driven and recorded to build on the language and literacy skills of all students (with special emphasis on students of diverse backgrounds--linguistic, cultural, socio-economic, and special needs)
  • Download resources via website.
