Welcome to the West End of San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. Sue Andrews' Pre-School through 1st grade classroom is the only Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) program using total communication in this SELPA. We are located at Foothill Knolls Elementary School. We hope you enjoy your journey through the eyes of these little three to five year olds who communicate not by hearing, but by SEEING. Although they neither speak nor hear, they are very smart little children whose cognition is within the normal range. They are learning by using American Sign Language (ASL.)
