When I went to kindergarten we took naps. My teacher, Mrs. Dupree, would let the first child to fall asleep use the "Magic Wand" to wake up all the children after nap time. I remember trying so hard to fall asleep so I could use the Magic Wand!

My favorite teacher was Mrs. Mertins. I was lucky enough to have her for fifth and sixth grade. Our class raised enough money by collecting recycling, to go on some exciting field trips to the San Francisco Zoo, tide pools in Half Moon Bay and Alcatraz!

I loved my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Proud. She was always so nice and calm. I loved going back to visit her, even through high school.

My favorite school memory is of making a plate for my dad for Father's Day in second grade. He absolutely loved it, and I was proud!

I remember dressed up as Pilgrims and Native Americans and making stone soup in Kindergarten. I also remember having a great PE teacher in middle school whose hair and make up was always perfect...Ms. Van Dyk.
