Mrs. Capasso
In Kindergarten the "report card" was a strip of card stock with subjects written in each grid. If the objective was met, a gold star was put in the square. I received all gold stars except for "tying shoes". I couldn't tie my shoes until 2nd grade.

My favorite elementary school teacher was Mrs. Manry. Mrs. Manry loved her fourth grade class. During that year, I published my own book of short stories and poems, that I still have today! Mrs. Manry loved the movie E.T. and had a blow up E.T. in her room.

Mr. Spencer Noble was the teacher who made my first day in the United States a positive day. He made me feel welcome in class. He was also my driver ed teacher and I almost drove us into a moving van. He just smiled and said, " It would be ok." I will never forget his kindness.

One of my favorite memories is about my 5th grade teacher Miss Perryman. She read aloud to us everyday after lunch and one of the books was "Where the Red Fern Grows". At the end when the dogs Big Dan and Little Ann die, she was crying, and we were all crying. That book remains a favorite of mine today.

Frau Renz was my teacher for grades K-4 in Germany. She has always inspired me to become a teacher. She always made class fun and interesting. When I was in college, I went back to Frau Renz' class to do an internship. She pulled out our 3rd grade yearbook in which I wrote I wanted to become a teacher when I grew up.

Mrs. Allard was my fifth grade teacher who changed my life. She was kind and caring and took an interest in my life. Mrs. Allard is the reason I went to college. I'll never forget her.
