Do you have a fine arts program?

Our fine arts program will be taught by myself and will include the 7 elements of art, art masterpieces, folkdance, and songs.

Will my child have an assigned PE time?

Your child will have two assigned PE times during the week. More information will come home with your child about our scheduled day.

What should I do if my child is absent?

Please let the school office know if your child is absent by calling 947-5545. If you want to request work, please leave a message for me in the office. I will try and have the work ready for you to pick up by the end of the school day.

Can my child check out books at the library?

Your child will be able to visit the school library once a week to check out books. Your child may check out 2 books a week within their reading level. One book must be a non-fiction book and the other book may be a fiction book of your child's choice.

What time does school get out?

School is dismissed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 2:30 for grades 1-5. Kindergarten is dismissed at 2:40 Monday-Friday. Wednesday is early day and school is dismissed at 1:30. There will be times when school is on a minimum schedule and will be dismissed at 11:20. Please refer to notices that go home with your child for these dates.

What time does school begin?

School begins at 8:00 AM EVERY day. Your child may play on the playground beginning at 7:40 AM.

How much homework will my child have each night?

Homework should take aproximately 40-50 minutes each night. Your child will have Spelling, Math, and Reading EVERY night. Your child will also have a reading comprehension page EVERY Monday and Wednesday.
