Expect homework every single day.

Homework is due the day after it is assigned, unless otherwise noted.  Please encourage good study habits by seeing to it that your child's homework is completed daily.  I will accept homework one day late, for a reduced grade, after that it will not be accepted.

Here are some assignments you can expect to see on a regular basis.  (This is a general plan, which is subject to change, as needed.)

Home Reading Log (read library books)

Reading comprehension worksheet

Spelling 3 times each

Spelling packet (due Friday)

Grammar worksheet

Math

Home reading Log (as needed)

Get Friday Folder signed and return it on Monday

Home Reading Log:  Students will keep a log as they read their library books.  Parent signature is required. (students are required to take AR tests on all library books.)

4th Grade Book Project/5th Grade Patriotic Song Project:  This is an at-home project designed to support our Literature/Social Studies curriculum and promote pride in our country.  Families are welcome to help, but please make sure the student does most of the work so that I can grade their project fairly.

Current Events:  Your child will report on a current event once each trimester.

Daily Blog:  Your child will be responsible for writing the Daily Blog right here on our class website on a rotating basis.
