Fourth grade social studies focuses on California geography and history from early American Indian groups through modern times. Our main emphasis is on the mission period and the California Gold Rush.

Social Studies tests will be given most Fridays.

The Donner Party Diary

Read about the Donner party and their struggles crossing the Sierra Nevada. This site includes a map showing the trail they followed, pictures of some of the members of the Donner party, and real diary entries in their own words, which are primary sources of information.
